NETTAG+ brings together an international and multidisciplinary consortium including: scientists (CIIMAR, INESC TEC, USC, UNEW, UAveiro), the fishing industry (ARVI, APMSHM, CoGePa, C&S), governmental fisheries authorities (MAFA), non-governmental organisations (NGOs) (WWF), and technological (Succorfish) and knowledge-management companies (ERINN).

CIIMAR is the coordinating entity of the project and is responsible for transversal activities as its project manager, actively participating in exploitation and dissemination actions. CIIMAR is also responsible for the environmental impact assessments, and also supports awareness actions.

INESC TEC is in charge of the development of the recovery system for lost fishing gears and for developing, testing and demonstration of the mapping and recovery system for ALDFG. UNEW - Newcastle University
UNEW leads the development and testing of acoustic tags and location systems and works with SF and C&S to engineer workable and cost-effective products for use by fishers, contributing also to the detection of untagged nets and results exploitation, as well as for dissemination and communication activities of NETTAG+ results.
