ERINN and USC participated in the 2024 UN Ocean Decade Conference, which took place in Barcelona (Spain) from 10 to 12 April. The NETTAG+ project was presented at the ERINN stand and information leaflets were distributed to raise awareness of the project’s goals and solutions.
From March 4th to 8th, 2024, Brussels became the epicenter of marine conservation efforts with the inaugural edition of European Ocean Days, a week-long series of events focusing on Europe’s seas. The NETTAG+ project participated in several events, showcasing its innovative approaches to marine litter mitigation and engaging with policy-makers, researchers, and other stakeholders.
The NETTAG+ project participated in the Ocean Best Practices Workshop VII (OBPS-WS VII), held online from 9 to 13 October 2023. Marisa Almeida from CIIMAR presented the project during the session dedicated to the UN Ocean Decade Challenge 1: Understanding and Combating Marine Pollution.
Sandra Ramos of CIIMAR, the NETTAG+ coordinator, took part in a debate session at the 2nd Small-scale Fisheries Conference in Vila Praia de Âncora, Portugal, on 4 November.
CIIMAR and ERINN participated in the EurOCEAN 2023 Conference held in Vigo (Spain) on 10-11 October 2023, an important forum for stakeholders and policy makers.
