The NETTAG+ project participated in the Ocean Best Practices Workshop VII (OBPS-WS VII), held online from 9 to 13 October 2023. Marisa Almeida from CIIMAR presented the project during the session dedicated to the UN Ocean Decade Challenge 1: Understanding and Combating Marine Pollution.
The OBPS Workshop VII brought together over 1,000 participants from around the world to explore solutions to the 10 UN Ocean Decade Challenges. Sessions provided a platform for experts to exchange ideas and discuss innovative practices, opportunities to co-develop solutions with diverse stakeholders, and share insights on how to integrate best practices into strategic ambitions for sustainable ocean management.
With participants from around the world, the workshop highlighted the growing recognition of standards and best practices as essential tools for interoperability, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.
